I want to be that fella:
The one in the hardware store
Who brought in his mower blade
To be sharpened.
To be curious enough to wonder
About its condition,
To be decisive enough to create a plan
About how best steel should meet blade,
To have the tools to undo what has been set in place
By countless revolutions,
To be strong enough to remove the bolt
Stained with grass and rust, pelted with pebbles
And stones, nicked by the violence of order.
Aw to hell with it. I'll buy a new blade from China;
It's three dollars less.
